As you all know, sadly due to Covid-19, we were forced to cease all volleyball activity before we had quite got to the end of our usual training sessions for the 2019/2020 season.
Some of you have asked what does that mean for Club fees for this season. It has taken us a while to consider this carefully as we needed to assess fully because in many cases the bulk of the seasons costs have already been incurred by the Club.
However I am pleased to say the Committee were able to respond quickly and work in partnership with our venues to cancel most of our commitments without incurring any additional fees. We have assessed this ‘saving’ per session to calculate an appropriate credit to the account for those members that pay an annual subscription (whether all up front or monthly) and were impacted by the disruption. We feel this is not only the right thing to do but also part of our commitment to ensure we are delivering you value. While many clubs have not benefited from such flexible partner venues we are lucky on that front which enables us to do this whilst also continuing to invest for the upcoming season.
Team Managers will be in touch with individuals to confirm amounts as these vary depending on the session and basis on which you were paying. In most instances these will be credited to your club account for use in the next season, rather than being refunded, to reduce the admin burden this would place on our volunteers. To give you a size of the scale here we are crediting just over £1600 of fees!
We would like to thank you for your continued patience during this unprecedented time and we really look forward to seeing you all back on court when we are out the other side! We will keep you posted on that front as we continue to listen to advice from Government and our Governing Body. Until then stay fit, stay active and stay safe!
