Pre-season Club social - disc golf

All Club members, partners/other halves/children are invited to join us for the pre-season social on Saturday 6 September.

The plan is to play a game of disc golf (more details below - just click "read more") and then head into Leamington afterwards for a few drinks.  To book your place email This email address is being protected from spambots.   1. Both Disc Golf and drinks!

The disc golf is £5 per person (£3 for children).

Summer Volleyball opportunities

See attached flyer for more details.  There are:-

- Summer recreational volleyball on Thursdays from 5.30 - 7.30pm at the University of Warwick; and

- an opportunity to take a summer volleyball course to improve your skills. 

These are open to all.  See the details on the flyer and/or contact us for more information!

You are invited to this year's Club AGM.  Make sure you come along to have your say in the future of our club.  But, more importantly to join in the celebrations of the last 40 years!

This year they are organising an all Star Super 8s Game.  It brings together the best of the best for an end of season showdown.   3 RIGA Players have been nominated and they NEED YOUR VOTE!

Super 8s mens team players: Matt Howe (outside)  Tom Young (libero) and Torsten Haensal (middle) are respresented across the categories. To vote for them is easy - just go to http://www.sideout.co.uk/#!all-stars-vote-men/cldx and vote now!

*****STOP PRESS*****  These sessions will now restart on Thursday 6th March rather than 27th Feb as previously advertised.

Womens 'back to volleyball' sessions restart on Thursday 27th February at Bablake School in Coventry.  Whether you have played volleyball on holiday or at school the sessions are ideal for those looking to get back into the game.

Club night and back to volleyball sessions

Did you know that the Club runs weekly volleyball sessions for all players every Thursday evening at Bablake School in Coventry.  These sessions are open to all (with you are new to the Club and what to play volleyball socially or play with one of the teams and want a bit of extra time playing the game you love!).

The sessions run every Thursday during school term time from 6.45 - 8.45pm.  Just come on down and join in!

For those of you new to the game or looking to get "back to vollleyball" after a playing absence then we run regular blocks of "back to volleyball" sessions.  These offer structured coaching to help you improve the basics of your game.  The next block of sessions starts after the February half term - first session with be Thursday 27th February.

Christmas social

This years Christmas social will take place at Centre AT7 on Tuesday 17th December from 7.30pm onwards. It will be a Christmas mini tournament followed by Christmas nibbles and drinks!  EVERYONE is welcome.  No charge just turn up and play.

New Website Launched!

Welcome to the new Coventry and Warwick Riga website.  After a few months of work we have finally made it to the new site.  So why have we done it?  What was wrong with the old one?  Here are just some of the new features you can now use and reasons why we've done it.

And this year's winners are:

Players player (mens' - Phil Wyles; womens' - Clare Francis) – the person you think has made the biggest contribution to your squad both on and off court during the season.

2. Club member of the year (Dan Turnbull) – the person who has contributed most to the club as a whole.

3. Wooden spoon – (Jayne Warman) - award for doing the most stupid thing on/off court (too many to mention!).
